INSECTA OBSCURA TAROT

The Insecta Obscura Tarot Deck is a 78 card divination deck created with hand painted illustrations by visual folklorist and illustrator Faina Lorah. It merges traditional tarot archetypes with the natural history, folklore and behaviour of insects, arachnids and other arthropods. Each insect and arachnid was chosen through careful research into etymology, folklore and natural behaviour so its name, myth or instinct echoes the card’s traditional meaning.

The set follows the classic Rider-Waite-Smith system structure and traditional meanings, with some thematic naming tweaks. The cards are uniquely square-shaped.
